Prince Harry has faced sharp criticism, with commentators branding him “pathetic” and “exploitative” over his revelations regarding Prince Archie’s childhood conversations. According to RadarOnline, royal commentators have harshly criticized Harry, with one Buckingham Palace staffer remarking, “I can’t believe Harry has trotted out this nonsense to try and get some sympathy votes.”

The unnamed staffer continued, “Talk about exploitative or what! This conversation just didn’t take place. Jeez, what else do they discuss? Global warming? The war in Gaza?” “Most five-year-olds want to talk about cartoons and snacks, not geopolitics and armed conflicts in Africa,” the staffer added, calling it “a pretty pathetic and lame stunt.”

The backlash follows comments Prince Harry made in an interview with CTV about discussions with his son, Archie. Harry shared, “It’s hard because kids don’t always ask the right questions. There’s no filter. You either shut it down right away, which I will never do, or you engage in the conversation and try to explain things.”

He recalled a specific moment when Archie asked about landmines, saying, “I was talking about how some of these guys participating in the Invictus Games were blown up.” While he acknowledged that “IEDs, Improvised Explosive Devices, are probably a little much at this point,” he still found himself explaining the topic to his young son.

Harry also noted that this conversation unexpectedly led to a discussion about his late mother, Princess Diana. “Interestingly, it gave me a chance to talk about my mum, his grandma, which I didn’t even really consider,” he said. “He wanted to see videos and photographs of her out there doing her thing for landmines all those years ago.

It produced a very interesting conversation, different from what I thought it would be.” The backlash highlights the ongoing scrutiny Prince Harry faces, particularly regarding how he navigates personal revelations and public perception.
