Meghan Markle’s public displays of affection with Prince Harry are raising eyebrows, with one royal expert suggesting she may be “trying too hard” to prove her love for her husband.

The Duchess of Sussex, frequently seen engaging in affectionate gestures with Harry, has been accused of using “hot and heavy PDA” as a way to shape her public image. Some believe Meghan is working to position herself as an ‘influencer’ rather than simply expressing her love naturally.

Royal expert Bronte Coy weighed in on Meghan and Harry’s latest public appearance in Vancouver, where their affectionate behavior drew widespread attention. “I think that there’s going to be an extraordinary amount of scrutiny on everything that happens with them and their relationship because of the professional separation that happened last year,” Coy explained, referring to Meghan’s increasing independence from the couple’s joint ventures.

Coy further noted that while public curiosity about their marriage is expected, the level of physical affection on display was striking. “With that said, the PDAs were pretty intense, and we got more of a front-row seat to all of these PDAs,” she said.

The couple was seen engaging in kissing, hugging, and constant hand-holding throughout the event, leading some to speculate whether the affectionate moments were more performative than genuine.

Coy acknowledged that “just looking on surface value, at least, it certainly looked like a couple very much in love.” However, the intensity of their public affection continues to spark debate, with some experts questioning whether Meghan is deliberately emphasizing her relationship with Harry to maintain public interest.
