Trump Allies Clash Over ‘Epstein Files’ Release, Accuse FBI of Withholding Key Documents

Tensions have erupted among former President Donald Trump’s allies over the delayed release of the so-called “Epstein files,” a campaign promise that remains unfulfilled. The case of Jeffrey Epstein, the wealthy financier accused of child sex trafficking who later died by suicide in a Manhattan jail, has fueled bipartisan intrigue and conspiracy theories for years.

Trump had pledged to release all related files upon taking office, but the extent of the concealed documents remains uncertain. On Thursday, the Justice Department made a move, distributing thick binders labeled “EPSTEIN FILES: PHASE 1” to select far-right influencers. However, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL), who has been vocal about her frustration with the delay, swiftly took to X to accuse Trump’s newly-appointed Attorney General, Pam Bondi, of deception.

“I nor the task force were given or reviewed the Epstein documents being released today… A NY Post story just revealed that the documents will simply be Epstein’s phonebook,” wrote Luna, who is also grappling with staff turmoil. “THIS IS NOT WHAT WE OR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ASKED FOR and a complete disappointment. GET US THE INFORMATION WE ASKED FOR!”

The controversy intensified as conservative radio host Glenn Beck weighed in. “Who is subverting POTUS? The #Epsteinfiles are a total joke. I know Kash, Pam B, and The President. This is not the file. WH tells me that they believe the usual suspects FBI/SDNY have the actual #EpsteinClientList and are refusing to turn it over. THIS IS AN INTERNAL CIVIL WAR if true,” Beck posted on X.

Pam Bondi, meanwhile, shifted the blame toward newly-appointed FBI Director Kash Patel, demanding an explanation for the incomplete release. In a strongly worded letter to his office, Bondi expressed her frustration. “I repeatedly questioned whether this was the full set of documents responsive to my request and was repeatedly assured by the FBI that we had received the full set of documents,” she wrote.

“Late yesterday, I learned from a source that the FBI Field Office in New York was in possession of thousands of pages of documents related to the investigation and indictment of Epstein. Despite my repeated requests, the FBI never disclosed the existence of these files. When you and I spoke yesterday, you were just as surprised as I was to learn this new information.”

Bondi concluded her letter with a firm demand, instructing the FBI to “deliver the full and complete Epstein files to my office” no later than 8 a.m. Friday. Additionally, she called for an immediate internal investigation to determine why her order was disregarded and requested a “comprehensive report” within two weeks. As the feud among Trump’s allies escalates, questions loom over the true extent of the Epstein files and whether they will ever be fully disclosed to the public.
