TV Execs Offer $10M for Michelle and Barack Obama Tell-All Interviews Amid Intensifying Split Rumors

Television networks are reportedly preparing massive offers to secure exclusive interviews with both Barack and Michelle Obama ahead of their rumored divorce announcement. Insiders revealed that top media executives are eager to land the former first couple for separate tell-all interviews about their personal lives and 32-year marriage.
Sources suggest the Obamas are set to announce their separation, marking the first-ever post-White House divorce between a former president and first lady. “There is going to be a real rush to bag their signatures for interviews, and the figures are going to be at least $10 million—and that’s each,” a TV insider told RadarOnline.

“Obama recently picked up $1.2 million for three speeches on Wall Street, so $10 million to talk about his marriage and how that was conducted within the pressure cooker of the White House doesn’t seem such bad value. And Michelle will also be offered a similar amount,” they added.
The source continued, “The interviews would be dynamite as they [would be] the first couple to split up after being president and first lady. That is a pretty big deal. The stakes are high on this one, and the networks are scrambling to make sure they are not the ones who miss out on landing the Obamas. Oprah Winfrey will be front of the queue if Michelle agrees to blab about the break-up.”
The offers come as the once-political power couple quietly prepares to announce their split. According to sources, they are currently in the process of dividing their $70 million empire. “They want to have everything ironed out in advance,” an insider with knowledge of the deliberations said. “The last thing they want is an ugly fight with lots of nasty legal filings.”

Michelle and Barack Obama’s rumored separation is now considered showbiz’s “worst-kept secret,” with the couple’s assets and revenue streams from various media projects being carefully sorted out. They reportedly own properties in Washington, D.C., Martha’s Vineyard, and Chicago, in addition to a stock portfolio exceeding $25 million.
“It’s far from easy to untangle a life of three decades with someone, but maintaining the illusion of a happy and stable marriage is no longer a solution,” the source added. “They both are of the mind that they will be better off on their own.”
The Obamas’ pending divorce has garnered significant attention, especially following reports that their relationship soured after the 2024 presidential election. Sources claim the strain arose when Barack Obama encouraged Michelle to run for president in 2024, which she declined in favor of focusing on Hollywood ventures with their production company, Higher Ground Productions.

Despite the split, the couple is reportedly determined to keep the divorce amicable and drama-free. Media outlets are vying for exclusive access to their story, with TV networks considering Oprah Winfrey as the top choice to interview Michelle about the breakup.
If confirmed, the Obamas’ divorce will mark an unprecedented moment in U.S. history as the first post-presidential separation of a former first couple, making it one of the most significant media events in recent years.
