President Donald Trump has expressed immense satisfaction with his new White House Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, according to a Wall Street Journal report published on Saturday, February 16. At just 27 years old, Leavitt has made history as the youngest individual to hold the role. Her competitive approach with the press, strong ability to push Trump’s narrative, and rejection of traditional media norms have quickly earned her the president’s favor.
The publication highlighted Leavitt’s approach to her position, emphasizing her willingness to closely align with Trump’s public statements. “I listen as much as possible to what he says in public and discuss his thoughts with him in private to articulate his message as effectively as possible,” she stated.

Her approach has not gone unnoticed, as Trump himself praised her at a recent event, exclaiming, “A star is born!” Former White House spokesman Ari Fleischer, who served under George W. Bush, acknowledged Leavitt’s skills. “She speaks Donald Trump fluently.
She knows his ins and outs. She knows what to say, and what not to say. And she’s comfortable,” Fleischer said. Leavitt assumed office on January 20 and soon announced a policy change allowing social media influencers to attend press briefings alongside traditional media outlets.
This decision aligns with Trump’s long-standing effort to sideline mainstream media in favor of digital outlets promoting his “Make America Great Again” movement. In a controversial move, Leavitt took action against the Associated Press on Friday, February 14, banning the organization from the Oval Office and Air Force One.

The decision came after the AP refused to comply with the administration’s directive to rename the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America in its reports. Trump, who has often criticized his previous press secretaries for being overly cautious, appears to appreciate Leavitt’s assertive style. Rather than filtering or clarifying the president’s statements, she actively amplifies them while attacking dissenting media voices.

However, not everyone is impressed with Leavitt’s performance. Reactions from netizens on Mediaite’s website have been mixed, with some expressing skepticism about her approach. “She seems on edge a lot. Has trouble with details or simply has been told not to bother with them,” one user commented.
“‘She Speaks Donald Trump Fluently’ = LIES SHAMELESSLY,” another wrote. “Propaganda Barbie,” a third user quipped. “Finally someone who can define covfefe?” another mocked.
“Yes, she speaks broken phrases coldly without voice fluctuations that make no sense and are totally detached from the reality we’re seeing with our eyes and wallets. Trump Speak,” another added. “It’s easy to speak Trump’s language when all you do is spew lies and propaganda,” a critic concluded.
