Jay-Z is speaking out about the now-dismissed lawsuit against him, addressing the bombshell allegations as he stepped out in support of his daughter, Blue Ivy, at a major Hollywood premiere. The Empire State of Mind rapper was previously accused in a lawsuit of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl, a claim that has since been dismissed.
The case, brought by attorney Tony Buzbee, made headlines, but Jay-Z insists it was nothing more than a “stunt” designed to damage his reputation. According to HELLO! Magazine, Jay-Z described how the ordeal forced him into a difficult position, saying, “It put me in the position of having to choose between supporting my daughter or hiding to avoid the negative press.”

Despite the controversy, the rap mogul made a public show of strength by attending the highly anticipated premiere of Mufasa: The Lion King on December 9, 2024. The event, held in Los Angeles, featured his wife, Beyoncé, and daughter, Blue Ivy, both of whom have roles in the upcoming Disney film.
Jay-Z, known for his resilience in both the music industry and the business world, did not shy away from addressing the lawsuit’s impact on his life. “I felt that Mr. Buzbee was placing a gun to my head—that I either bow to his demands or endure personal and financial ruin,” he said.

The lawsuit’s dismissal marks a significant victory for Jay-Z, who has consistently denied the allegations. In response to what he called a “malicious attack,” the Young Forever rapper took legal action against Buzbee in October 2024, filing a lawsuit for defamation and emotional distress.
The legal battle highlights the growing number of high-profile cases in which celebrities face unproven allegations that are later thrown out. Jay-Z’s countersuit against Buzbee signals his intent to hold individuals accountable for what he claims was an attempt to tarnish his legacy.

While legal matters played out in the background, Jay-Z remained focused on his family, making a strong public appearance at the Mufasa premiere. His presence at the event was not just about celebrating his daughter’s involvement in the film but also about reclaiming his public narrative.
Fans and industry insiders alike have praised Jay-Z’s handling of the situation, viewing his resilience as a testament to his decades-long career as one of music’s most influential figures. As he continues to navigate the legal aftermath, one thing remains clear: Jay-Z is standing firm in the face of controversy, ensuring that neither his reputation nor his family is overshadowed by what he calls baseless accusations.
