“I have always wanted to do one”—Jennifer Lopez steps out for post-Christmas shopping
Jennifer Lopez recently enjoyed a post-Christmas shopping outing in Aspen, Colorado, with her 16-year-old child, Emme. The 55-year-old singer and actress was spotted at a winter-wear boutique trying on a shearling-collared brown coat as part of her festive shopping.
Lopez, known for her impeccable style, kept it cozy for the outing in an oversized cardigan, which she also wore the previous Sunday. She paired the cardigan with wide-leg blue jeans and Timberland-style booties, completing her look with seventies-inspired retro sunglasses. Emme, who uses they/them pronouns, sported a black leather coat, knit scarf, and baggy jeans for their shopping trip with their mom, told Page Six.
The post-Christmas outing comes just after Lopez revealed her long-standing desire to create a holiday project. During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Lopez was asked about her interest in making a Christmas movie.
She responded, “I have always wanted to do one and I want to do a Christmas album.” The Atlas actress went on to explain that she has tried to start the process in the past but has always been behind schedule. “I’ve started a couple of times, but you have to have it in by June and I am always behind schedule,” she admitted, laughing. “Maybe one day.”
Lopez shared that although she had begun working on holiday music projects twice, she hadn’t been able to finish them in time for release. Despite these setbacks, her enthusiasm for a Christmas movie and album remains strong, and she remains hopeful for the future.
Lopez’s busy schedule continues as she balances her family life with her career, but it’s clear that creating a holiday-themed project is still something she dreams of accomplishing.
