Happy Birthday Ryan Gosling

Ryan Thomas Gosling (born November 12, 1980) is a Canadian actor and musician. He started his career as a child star on the Disney Channel’s Mickey Mouse Club (1993–95). Ryan Gosling was noticed by a wider audience in 2004 for his leading role in the romantic drama The Notebook. This role fetched him four Teen Choice Awards and an MTV Movie Award. The award winning did not stop here and in 2006 his performance as a drug-addicted teacher in Half Nelson again brought him a nomination for an academy award.

After a three-year acting lull, Gosling appeared in both Blue Valentine and All Good Things in 2010, and again the nomination for awards followed him. The year 2011 proved to be a landmark year for the actor as he appeared in three mainstream films – the romantic comedy Crazy, Stupid, Love, the thriller Drive and the political drama The Ides of March.

Along the way there were some bad moments too, as he was arrested by LAPD officers for “driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs” but got away from the charge with a “ no contest” pleading of guilt. He was sentenced to two years of probation and ordered to pay $849 in fines. Gosling lives in New York City, co-owns Tagine, a Moroccan restaurant in Beverly Hills, California which he bought on an impulse. He spent a year doing the renovation work himself and now oversees the restaurant’s menus.

Quite a few leading actresses have come to his life and he has dated Sandra Bullock for a year and also enjoyed a two year relationship with Canadian actress Rachel McAdams. In late 2009 he dated American actresses Kat Dennings and thereafter shifted his romantic path to American actress and model Eva Mendes.
