Lara Trump, former co-chair of the Republican National Committee and daughter-in-law of President Donald Trump, kicked off her new Fox News show with a high-profile interview featuring White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
On the premiere episode of My View with Lara Trump, which aired on Saturday, February 22, Trump sat down with Leavitt, who at 27 is the youngest person to ever hold the position of White House press secretary. The Irish Star reported that Lara Trump had plenty to say about Leavitt’s fiery approach to handling the press.

“I didn’t know all that was in there,” Lara remarked, referring to Leavitt’s assertive style at the podium. She went on to share her initial impressions of Leavitt, having known her for just over a year. “You know, it’s funny because I’ve known Karoline for a little over a year now,” Lara Trump explained.
“She was obviously the spokesperson for the Trump campaign. And I knew her as, you know, a colleague. And I was always very impressed with her.” Leavitt, who previously worked as an assistant press secretary during Trump’s first term, has gained a reputation for aggressively pushing the administration’s narrative and challenging mainstream media norms.
Since stepping into her role, she has been both praised and criticized for her combative approach to handling White House correspondents. Lara Trump admitted that despite seeing Leavitt in interviews before, she was surprised by her commanding presence at the podium.
“I see her in interviews and different moments and different spaces, but you really never know how someone will be until they take that podium. And she blew me away,” she said. She further praised Leavitt’s ability to balance poise and toughness.
“I didn’t know all that (the attitude) was in there. She’s absolutely incredible. And we’re so proud of the job that she’s doing,” Lara Trump added. My View with Lara Trump has taken over the weekend 9 p.m. slot previously held by One Nation with Brian Kilmeade.
