Pop icon Britney Spears is reportedly fuming over her ex-husband Sam Asghari’s repeated mentions of her in interviews, with sources claiming she wants him to “zip it, like, forever.” According to a RadarOnline report, Spears has confided in close friends about her frustration with Asghari, who continues to reference their high-profile marriage and divorce in public appearances.

“Britney is simmering over her ex-husband’s constant need to drop her name!” an insider revealed. The source further stated that Spears is growing increasingly irritated by Asghari’s actions. “She is saying she’s done with his antics and wants him to zip it, like, forever! She says the guy needs to be muzzled. Period.”

The tension between the former couple appears to be escalating, with Spears allegedly believing Asghari’s continued references to her are a desperate attempt to stay relevant. “Sam really thought marrying Britney would launch him into stardom, but let’s not kid ourselves,” the insider noted.

“The only reason anyone even picks up when he calls is because of his connection to her! She’s totally over being his ticket to fame and wants him to move on too,” the source continued. Despite Spears’ frustration, it seems Asghari has yet to step back from discussing their past.

The insider claims she is eager to leave their relationship behind and focus on her own life without his constant presence in the media. “Britney is ready for him to stop cashing in on their past for attention!” the source added. “But at the moment, he doesn’t seem to be getting the message.”

The insider also suggested that the outcome of their relationship might have been different if Asghari had been more committed during their time together. “Perhaps if he’d put in more thought and effort during the relationship then perhaps they’d still be together,” they concluded.

Asghari and Spears officially ended their marriage in 2023, and while Spears has largely remained private about their split, her reported frustration suggests she is growing increasingly tired of being part of his public narrative. Whether Asghari will heed her alleged request remains to be seen.
