As speculation continues over Prince Harry’s future within the monarchy, former royal aides have weighed in on his potential role once Prince William ascends the throne. According to Hello! Magazine, Jason Knauf, the Prince of Wales’s former communications secretary, recently shed light on William’s approach to leadership and his relationship with Harry amid their ongoing estrangement.

Speaking in a special episode of 60 Minutes Australia, Knauf described Prince William’s future reign as one rooted in down-to-earth wisdom and a deep connection with the people. “He’s going to bring [so] much down-to-earth wisdom and connection during his rulership,” Knauf stated.

Addressing the strained relationship between Prince William and Prince Harry, Knauf emphasized that family tensions are normal. “We have ups and downs in the family. Even when you really love someone, you know you can have times when you don’t want to spend that much time with them,” he said.

Knauf also suggested that Prince William is deliberately maintaining his silence regarding the rift with Harry. “You know, it’s very difficult to have this stuff play out in the public eye, but he’s [William] chosen to keep his thoughts on it private, and I think all of us who know him really have to respect that we should do the same,” he added.

Meanwhile, former royal butler Grant Harrold shared insights into whether Prince Harry might have a place at William’s coronation. Harrold suggested that while William may extend an invitation to his younger brother, Harry might not hold a significant role in the ceremony.

Regarding Harry’s potential return to the royal family, Harrold believes the Duke of Sussex is content with his life in Montecito, California, alongside Meghan Markle and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. “I still think he would be there to support his brother as he has been for his father,” he said.

While it remains unclear whether Prince Harry and Prince William will fully reconcile, royal experts suggest that Harry’s involvement in his brother’s reign may be limited. As William prepares for his future as King, the brothers’ relationship—and Harry’s potential role in the monarchy—continues to be a subject of speculation.
