Kanye West has once again ignited controversy, this time for publicly demanding the release of Sean “Diddy” Combs, despite serious allegations against the music mogul. In a lengthy and erratic post, the 47-year-old artist called on President Donald Trump to intervene, writing “Free Puff” while also revealing plans to collaborate with Diddy’s Sean John brand for a new Yeezy clothing line. However, his plea was quickly shut down by legal experts.

High-profile attorney Tyrone Blackburn, who represents Diddy’s former producer Rodney Jones and other accusers, slammed West’s comments as “reckless and out of line.” Speaking to The Sun, Blackburn dismissed Kanye’s efforts, emphasizing the severity of the accusations against Diddy, who remains in custody.

“Trying to get political leaders involved in the ongoing legal battle won’t do any good, and it is also disrespectful to those who came forward with life-threatening allegations,” Blackburn told The Mirror US. Diddy, once one of the most influential figures in hip-hop, has been facing multiple allegations, leading to his current legal troubles.

While West was previously one of his closest allies, his public support has been met with intense criticism, with many arguing that he is undermining the severity of the case. The controversy comes at a turbulent time for Kanye, who recently deactivated his X account following a heated online war that saw him clash with Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
